His TED talk became one of Bill Gates’ personal favorites, and is widely considered the most revealing testimony Blaine has ever given on the topic of his remarkable career.

After releasing David in 1973, we feel his power levels have crept up to a higher point than we initially intended. While we acknowledge David is simply "built diff", we want to make sure the playing field is evened out for everyone else.

In patch 20.21 David Blaine's passive "Mermaid Lungs" will be reduced from a 17 minute duration to 16 minutes.

David's 2nd passive, "Inhuman Tolerance" will be reduced from 400% to 375%.

And finally, his ultimate's passive, "Luck of the Angels" will be reduced from 100% to 99%.

Does anyone remember the night Conan Obrien put him on his late night show really quickly for a tiny segment before the credits because he was impressed by his street magic outside their building? He literally grabbed him from the sidewalk and put him on his show and then....became a star after that.

David Blaine was born April 4th 1973, an asthmatic with the lower-than-average lung capacity. In spite of this, by the time he was a teenager, he had broken Harry Houdini’s breath-hold record of 3 minutes and 30 seconds. And the best TV magic special ever done.

Two years later, Blaine performed his first endurance stunt. That even his friends began to wonder if it was fake. It was real. It took him months to recover. A year and a half later, Blaine stood on a pillar 22 inches wide and 100 feet tall above Bryant Park. After 35 hours, severely dehydrated and sleep-deprived, he concluded the stunt by jumping down into a pile of cardboard boxes, and suffered a concussion and a fractured rib.

The following year, sealed in a Plexiglas box suspended high in the air next to the Tower Bridge in London, Blaine fasted on nothing but water for 44 days. When it was over Blaine’s doctor, convinced that he had somehow cheated, administered an IV drip full of nutrients.

A short while later, he co-authored an academic paper about his feet with that very same doctor. After a vigorous year of training, he spent seven consecutive days in a water-filled Sphere in New York City- the longest submersion under water ever recorded. On the second day, suffering from mild organ failure, Blaine rejected multiple attempts by his medical team to end the stunt. On the last day, while handcuffed, Blaine attempted a world record breath hold. Seven minutes in he began blacking out and divers jumped in to save his life.

Determined to succeed, he trained relentlessly for the next two years. On April 30th 2008, pushing through excruciating pain and ischemia to the heart, live on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Over the next few years, Blaine shot a bullet into his mouth twice, withstood a million volts of electricity continuously for three days, involving swallowing a deadly amount of water and kerosene and spouting them out at will. sewed his mouth shut, and stored the same three frogs in his stomach thousands of times, eaten over 30 pounds of glass, performed thousands of breath holds- averaging 10 minutes each. There are those who say you’re a magician, why not just stick with magic instead of these feats?

But, David believes that pushing through the pain to achieve what seems impossible is a more gratifying form of magic. And though its caused me a lot of worry over the years,

Apple Keyboard Evolution 1983-2015

I don’t have a Lisa Keyboard, and they’re quite rare and expensive. But here’s what it looked like, it was quite large and clunky. Although not really any wider than a modern Apple keyboard . So, this is the original Macintosh keyboard. It’s kind of tall, and notice that it has no arrow keys, no function keys and no number pad. Apparently, Steve Jobs believed that everybody would use the mouse for everything, except typing. It uses an RJ-11 type connector, similar to a phone cord. The mouse actually had its own separate connector, and did not connect to the keyboard at all. This is about as basic as it gets. I can plug my telephone into it, for some reason. So, one thing I noticed about this is that there are no indicators on where to put your fingers. I’ve never heard a keyboard echo before. It’s not real springy or anything. Greetings folks, and today on LGR I am proud to present the fabled AdLib Gold 1000 Stereo Sound Adapter. An IBM PC-compatible sound card which, after multiple delays, launched at a suggested price of $299 in the US sometime in late 1992. Greetings and welcome to LGR Oddware where were taking a look at hardware and software that is odd, forgotten, and obsolete! And today it is the IBM 8516 CRT touchscreen from the beginning of the 1990s. OMG Mr. LGR!!! You made my day showing the Seiko computer watch series. I collect these things and Have almost the entire lineup up including the weird UC-2200. The only one I'm missing is the "wrist mac" which was essentially a Seiko RC4400 but marketed and sold for Apple. It could be considered the first apple watch! That design for the Elwro-800 actually seems pretty good and I wish I had it for the C64 back in the day. Hey guys, this is Austin, and this is the USB Killer. Now, it might not look like much, however this will straight up kill your computer. So, this is a device that’s used to test hardware, so while it looks like an ordinary USB device, instead, there’s a series of capacitors inside. BootSkin XP - A Boot Screen Customization Tool for Windows XP

Hello everybody and welcome back . We’re going to be taking a look at a pretty cool little piece of software for Windows XP, and there’s also a version for Windows Vista, called BootSkin. And this is a little bit of an older program. This was released, I want to say, somewhere in the mid-2000s. This is actually a piece of software that I used on a couple of my Windows XP , and even some my Windows Vista machines like over 10 years ago. It’s been a while since I’ve used this piece of software. But what this software allows you to do is, as you can probably tell by the name, it allows you to skin and customize your Windows boot screen, add a little bit more personality to your system and make your boot screen look more unique so, you know it’s gonna be much different than everybody else’s which just says Windows XP when it boots up.
