Apple M1X iMac Release Date & Price – M1X

So this year well be getting a new m1x  chipset what is set to be a screamer  in power from apple one product expecting to  get this chipset is the new imac 2021 models  we are super excited for the m1x and the new  apple imac so here are all the details about  design and specs and of course the apple  m1x imac release date and price details  so if you want to hear the latest gaming  news tech news reviews and comparisons  hit that subscribe button followed by the bell

so jumping right in were expecting brand new  imac with apple silicon chipsets to arrive this  year in 2021 right away the new imax will have an  apple silicon m1x chipset inside what is built on  the foundations of the m1 chipset that came out  back in November 2020 inside the new mac air the  imac mini and of course the macbook pro 13-inch  model with the chipsets development in mind were  expecting the release of the new m1x between  October and November 2021 for a release date  inside the new imax it is most likely that.

Apple M1X iMac Release Date & Price – M1X

It will  be towards the end of October and into November  based on the time when apple likes to do a  presentation when they release their products  it is very unlikely what apple will do a quiet  update to their imac line with the m1x and also  do a small release change with the imac line  like what they did in 2020 when they just bumped  up the Intel chips being that the m1x is going  to be something so special were expecting a  presentation and then the release very soon  after so that’s why we’re predicting this  kind of end October beginning of November kind  of time now just before we jump into the price  and then the new design and then the specs I  want to know from you guys right now do you

Own a mac or apple products at the moment and if  you do what ones do you currently have or if you  don’t own any or if you plan to get something  new or your first apple products in this year  I would love to know in the comments below what  you plan to get and whilst you’re there hit  the like button and also if you want to hear the  latest on apple tech news hit that sub button and  the bell to get the latest info cheers so then for  the price I can tell you right now we are likely  to get a whole new design imac and there’s gonna  be lots of changes including the screen sizes.

But I’ll get on to that in a moment with the  design the specs what you need to know right now  is the baseline imac what is going to come with  a rumored 24 inch display the m1x chipset and  8 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabyte ssd storage  will be coming in at the same price as the current  4k 21.5 inch Intel i3 imac of 1299 used so as you  can see right now the price hasn’t changed but  you’ll be getting a whole load more for your money  than what you currently get with the Intel i3 4k  21.5 inch model at the moment so for the design  the external design of the imac hasn’t really  changed that much in say about 13 years since  it’s all metal design yes we’ve had 4k screens  and even 5k screens dropping and also the back of  the actual imac has actually got slimmer and more  rounder but apart from that not much has really  changed the new 24-inch imac that is to replace  the 21.5 inch imac is rumored to break that  cycle and offer an all-new design that fits in  with the likes of the new iPhone 12 models and the  ipad pros and air design and other model devices  according to john presser a major apple leaker who  has normally been bang on the money with his leaks he has said the new imacs are going to come in  some brand new colors and these colors are going  to be looking very similar to the range that was  offered with the current ipad air models so this  is likely that pink and that green and those blue  colors that were available the end of last year

However well be still getting a traditional  silver and well also be getting that space  gray colors as well for the actual designer  it is looking likely that the full design  of the new imac will be very similar to the  current mac pro xdr monitor that is available  luckily we won’t also get that huge price  tag as well what you get with the xcr monitor.

However what this does mean is the new imac will  not have a big chin underneath it anymore and on  the front of it will look like just a large  wide screen monitor john presser again has shown  us some ideas what he believes this will look like  and you can see that in the concepts right here  with the different colors and also that chin  also missing now vie been talking about the  new 24 inch model a fair bit and you’re probably  wondering what is going on with the 27 inch model  well like the previous major imac refresh only  one model will likely be updated in the first year  with the other model updates coming later  on rumors point to the 24-inch display imac  will get the redesign first and then  later updates the larger 27 inch imac  could also be updated but this will be updated  to a 30 inch model but don’t expect that in 2021  there is a belief that basically the 30 inch imac  will become the new imac pro range or something  else something called differently compared  to the normal imac the imac pro has just been  discontinued on apples website and we believe  this is what this 30 inch model will replace.

Apple M1X iMac Release Date & Price – M1X

But  well get on to that in another video at another  time but for the 24 inch screen imac the actual  screen of that imac there is little reason for  the resolution to change from the 21.5 to 24 inch  as 4k at 24 inches will maintain the retina pixel  density however apple could use the improved color  accuracy technologies found in the pro display  xdr in the 24 inch imac reports from Ming chi  kao suggests a move to mini led across the mac  line which would also allow for better contrast  and color recreation closer to the performance of  an oiled and we might just see that in this imac  moving on to the ports on the rear though the 2017  imac pro changed the connections from usb a to  usbc with thunderbolt 3 supports and these were  basically the only ports you found on the back  the 24 inch imac will likely have a similar port  arrangement likely with the adoption of usb 4  and also of course thunderbolt 4. so performance  apple silicon came out last year with shockingly  good performance and efficiency in the late 2020  macbook air 13-inch macbook pro and the mac mini  with the m1 chipset as apple moves forwards into  its two-year transition to apple silicon in its max it is unlikely the company would include 10th  generation Intel processors in a redesigned imac.

Apple still sells Intel based models of  the 13-inch macbook pro and the mac mini  but they’re last generation models filling  with higher end tiers until apple releases  apple silicon with even more power than what’s  inside the m1 a rumor from earlier in 2020 also  says that the imac fusion drives will be abandoned  also in these models coming up apple has moved to  ssd only configurations in every other computer  itself with the imac being the last to hold out  with the drives inside it and ssd would improve  speeds across nearly every process on the machine  as loading apps and documents from storage will  be much more responsive we also know that the new  m1x processor is going to be a huge leap on the  performance of the standard m1 it will gain a 12  core cpu and a 16 core gpu versus the standard  8 core cpu and 8 core gpu in the m1 right now  it could feature also 256 execution units  rather than the m 128 and may be able to drive three displays at once instead of two now a  lot of you are wondering what does this mean  and how powerful will the m1x be as the m1 is  very powerful were expecting gains of around  90 percent more speed let me give you an  example why this is most likely the case.

Apple M1X iMac Release Date & Price – M1X
If we look at the a12x in 2018 what  was in the ipad pro versus an iPhone  xs or the 10s what had the normal a12 inside you  can see that the a12x is about 90 faster than the  standard a12 so really what I’m trying to say  here is if we do get an m1x inside the new imax  expect it to be around 90 more faster just like  how the a12 to the a12x comparison was like  just quickly though again for that 27 inch model I  was talking about earlier I believe like I said we  will not see this at in 2021 and its most likely  we will see an update to this model in 2022 where  we might even see an m2x chipset inside of an m2  chipset and I believe that also the mac pro will  also be updated at the same time in 2022 with also  this updated imac so well have to wait and see  what that will give us then so just a quick recap  of when to expect new max over the next year or so  following on from the mac mini the macbook air  the 13 inch macbook pro that we got the end of  last year like minchiku believes that the next max  again the apple silicon is the macbook pro 16-inch  and also as well we will get that 14 inch macbook  pro as well those macs though are not unlikely to  be updated until mid-2021 or towards sort of  September October time coup also suggests that.

These new macbook pro models wont ship until the  second quarter of 2021 or third quarter of 2021  and that makes sense for that September October  release time if you’re wondering where all the  imac desktops figure in this lineup coo has made  no announcements relating to apples plan to  transition desktop maps such as the imac with  the imacs just updated with Intel processors  in august 2020 it does not seem likely that we  will get the updates to these macs for a while  as we talked further about in this video so as  mentioned it seems likely the new 24-inch imac  won’t see apple silicon processors until the end  of 2021 in that 24-inch model and then 2022 for  the 27 inch or the 30 inch imac coo is usually  accurate he said back in march 2020 before apple  announced the transition from Intel that the new  base matt could arrive before the end of 2020 and  he was right on the money so are you excited about  the new silicon imac line and will you be getting  one soon after launch or will you get something  else let me know what model you plan to buy  well guys that is the latest and greatest info we  have on the imac apple silicon line at this stage.

Apple Keyboard Evolution 1983-2015

I don’t have a Lisa Keyboard, and they’re quite rare and expensive. But here’s what it looked like, it was quite large and clunky. Although not really any wider than a modern Apple keyboard . So, this is the original Macintosh keyboard. It’s kind of tall, and notice that it has no arrow keys, no function keys and no number pad. Apparently, Steve Jobs believed that everybody would use the mouse for everything, except typing. It uses an RJ-11 type connector, similar to a phone cord. The mouse actually had its own separate connector, and did not connect to the keyboard at all. This is about as basic as it gets. I can plug my telephone into it, for some reason. So, one thing I noticed about this is that there are no indicators on where to put your fingers. I’ve never heard a keyboard echo before. It’s not real springy or anything. It does have… …metallic kind of noise to it. But, DAVID: This is the Apple Desktop Bus keyboard. As the name suggests, this was the first keyboard to use the new

The AdLib Gold Experience

Greetings folks, and today on LGR I am proud to present the fabled AdLib Gold 1000 Stereo Sound Adapter. An IBM PC-compatible sound card which, after multiple delays, launched at a suggested price of $299 in the US sometime in late 1992. More or less, its release is a bit complicated but we’ll get to that. For now lemme just go ahead and say how much I’m freak in’ out with excitement recording this footage. Cuz dude, seeing an AdLib Gold in person, still in the box, unused? Among retro PC enthusiasts, that’s like finding a golden unicorn that craps diamonds, it’s just not a thing. Yet here it is, looking’ spiffy! And it’s all thanks to Trixter, aka Jim Leonard of The Old-school PC, Check out his YouTube channel if you’re into this kind of thing too, the man’s a fountain of knowledge and some of the items in his collection are literally one of a kind. Not the least of which being this pristine AdLib Gold 1000, a card that I’ve been wondering about ever since I was eight years old lookin

IBM 8516 Touchscreen CRT Monitor

Greetings and welcome to LGR Oddware where were taking a look at hardware and software that is odd, forgotten, and obsolete! And today it is the IBM 8516 CRT touchscreen from the beginning of the 1990s. And yeah you can touch and draw and do all kinds of things that you would normally do with a mouse or light pen or whatever else -- just with your fingers! And so let’s see what this thing is and what it can do. All right so this is the IBM PS/2 Model 8516 13-inch CRT touchscreen monitor first introduced in June of 1991 for a suggested retail price of $1695 US dollars, holy crap. That would be almost $3,100 at the time of this recording, not a cheap price for a 13-inch VGA monitor back then.  It was built by IBM to be compatible with PCs running DOS, Windows 3 -- and IBM OS/2 of course, because they were still pushing it rather hard when this came out. And as advanced and awesome as it was for its time it was not the first of its kind as far as touchscreen CRTs, not by a long shot.  For

The Advantech I.Q. Unlimited with BASIC and a Z80 CPU.

Hello, and welcome back to the 8-Bit Guy. In this episode, I want to show you this bizarre little computer known as the IQ Unlimited by Advantech. Now, you might be wondering “What is this company Advantech?” Well, if you turn the computer over you’ll see it was actually produced by Video Technology Electronics, otherwise known as V-Tech.” Yes, that’s the same V-Tech that has produced tons of cordless telephones, kids learning computers, baby monitors, and a variety of other things. They are also the ones that built the Laser 128, which was an Apple II clone, along with the matching Laser XT which was a PC clone. They also produced the laser line of portable computers, and even a series of proprietary desktop computers that carried the laser brand name. So, needless to say V-Tech is no stranger to making computers. But, I think this may be the strangest one they ever made. The front of the box claims it to be complete, powerful, simple, and affordable. They are also those that built th

The best gaming laptop for MS-DOS games

The other day, I used to be reading this old Computes Gazette magazine from 1983. and that I saw this card you'll send off for more information. happen if I filled it out and sent it off? Well, stick around till the top and I'll show you the result. Most of the time, stepping into Retro Gaming are often quite challenge. Even the old Atari 2600 her, for instance, it are often very challenging to seek out a contemporary TV or monitor that you simply. On the brilliant side, the games are pretty easy to affect. All you've got to try to to is locate them online, or thrift shop, or whatever and you purchase the sport, and you recognize, But, things get even harder once you start watching old computers. For instance, the Commodore 64 uses a disk format that's essentially foreign today.  It's no means to attach to the web, and albeit you've got a pile of blank disks, getting the games copied over to them from the web could be a nightmare. Now, if you fast forward just a

Strangest Computer Designs of the '80s

OMG Mr. LGR!!! You made my day showing the Seiko computer watch series. I collect these things and Have almost  the entire lineup up including the weird UC-2200. The only one I'm missing is the "wrist mac" which was essentially a Seiko RC4400 but marketed and sold for Apple. It could be considered the first apple watch! That design for the Elwro-800 actually seems pretty good and I wish I had it for the C64 back in the day. That wire holder could have been used for holding a computer magazine with a user made program which they always had in the magazines back in the day. Even now it would be good for data input from a written copy, or even writers who like to get their pre-writing done on paper. They were the machines we were taught Turing language on -- and compiling even a tiny Turing program on them was unbelievably slow.  I really liked the GUI on them though, but we never really used the GUI much; all the programming we did was in a text file run through a compiler

Will Kill Your Computer

Hey guys, this is Austin, and this is the USB Killer. Now, it might not look like much, however this will straight up kill your computer. So, this is a device that’s used to test hardware, so while it looks like an ordinary USB device, instead, there’s a series of capacitors inside. So, if you plug it into a computer, it will charge those capacitors up, and once they’re full it turns around and releases all of that power at 240 volts straight back into the computer, in theory killing it. It doesn’t take much to be able to pop this thing open. Now, before we proceed: Do not try this at home. Seriously. Not only is it very possible for this thing to kill electronics, but it’s also. And by being careful, I mean don’t try this at home. We have an Asus Chrome book.  Now, USB Killer claims that this is going to work on around 95 percent of computers, and the reason for that is that while some computers have properly capped USB ports, most have completely unprotected ports, which means that i

Lost Colony of Roanoke

The broken anchor is pretty sketch. Sounds like the colony might have been wiped out and Smith not wanting to return to England and say "my bad they all died" was able to save face by saying "We have proof they are safe and moved location.  Near the end of the 16th century, a man by the name of John White embarked on a transatlantic voyage. His destination was the island of Roanoke along the southeastern coast of North America. On this island, White had established an English colony some three years before and he was now returning to resume his position as Governor. After a long and difficult journey, White finally reached the site of the colony only to find the more than one hundred men, women, and children had left behind had disappeared. Before White had a chance to conduct a more extensive search, the ship returned to England and in its wake, it left a mystery.  Raleigh was soon thereafter knighted by Queen Elizabeth I and the new land was to be named Virginia in ho

BootSkin XP - A Boot Screen Customization Tool for Windows XP

Hello everybody and welcome back . We’re going to be taking a look at a pretty cool little piece of software for Windows XP, and there’s also a version for Windows Vista, called BootSkin. And this is a little bit of an older program. This was released, I want to say, somewhere in the mid-2000s. This is actually a piece of software that I used on a couple of my Windows XP , and even some my Windows Vista machines like over 10 years ago. It’s been a while since I’ve used this piece of software. But what this software allows you to do is, as you can probably tell by the name, it allows you to skin and customize your Windows boot screen, add a little bit more personality to your system and make your boot screen look more unique so, you know it’s gonna be much different than everybody else’s which just says Windows XP when it boots up. And this is made by a company called StarDock and I’ve used a couple of different StarDock programs before there’s another one of my favorite programs from
